I create, therefore I am.

This used to be so much easier

Blogging and I go way back. I’m a verrrrry early Millennial/Oregon Trail Generation/Xennial/whatever trendy thing you wanna call it, so I was primed and ready when the internet took that first hesitant step out of Web 1.0 and into Web 2.0 a bazillion years ago. I had blogs about basically anything and everything. I even had a “lifetime” Livejournal account (ha!). I had multiple websites for whatever weird little rabbit hole my brain was obsessing over at the time.

But then we moved away from wording our thoughts to filming our thoughts and I stopped blogging. Well, other than that other site I still write for because once a year it brings in a couple hundred bucks. Video is not a medium in which I feel free to truly express myself… words are.

So, imagine my frustration when I decided, “Y’know what? Fuck it, fuck the kids and their TikToks or whatever, I’m going old school and I’m going to start blogging again!” only to discover that even the most simple blogging platform (gestures to surroundings) has changed the format so drastically, I can’t find a damn template that’s supposedly for “blogging” that isn’t really just regurgitating some Instagram layout. UGH.

Anyway, all I’m saying is that this is a new learning curve and frustratingly, all my mad CSS and HTML skillz are not cutting it. But I’m going to figure it out, and when I do, be ready.
